గత పదేళ్ల పాటు అదికారంలో ఉన్న బీఆర్ఎస్ పార్టీ ఎమ్మెల్యేలు ప్రస్తుతం దిక్కుతోచని పరిస్ధితిలో పడిపోయారు. ఇప్పటికే ఆరుగురు ఎమ్మెల్యేలు కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీలోకి మారిపోగా, మరో ఆరుగురి ఎమ్మెల్యేలు అరికెపూడి గాందీ నివాసంలో భేటీ అయ్యారు. వీరంతా పార్టీ మారేందుకు సన్నాహాలు చేసేకుంటున్నట్టు తెలుస్తోంది.
